Schedule and Organize sprint ceremonies like sprint planning, daily scrum, Sprint Demo, Backlog refinement and sprint retrospective

• Schedule, coordinate and participate in the sprint planning meeting held on first day of each sprint involving Product Owner and Team, where Product Owner presents the set of features to be achieved in the sprint.
• knowledge about Agile techniques like User Stories, Continuous Integration, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games.
• Monitor the discussions held in the daily scrum calls, monitor any scope changes and negotiate with the product owner on User Story prioritization.
• Monitor the vendor management, scope changes and provide clear resource loading of software team and capacity planning of the software that could influence the budget. r
• Make sure team members understand the requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria of the user story.
• Review the work estimates to see the team has sufficient time to complete all the requested user stories in the sprint that team commits in the sprint.
• Schedule Daily scrum call to review what tasks are completed previous day, what tasks are planned to do on the same day and any roadblocks.
• Facilitate sprint demo sessions for the team to demonstrate the features to the stake holders and product owner in order to ensure quick inspection and proper use of adaptation process.

Shield the team from technical challenges

• Help the team with requirements change and outside impediments.
• Coordinate with DevOps team for any concerns that would potentially block the team member’s productivity.
• Track the unit test cases in the dev environment, automatic test cases running on test servers and test data preparation.
• Help the scrum teams with any technical challenges from the software design, code and testing perspective.
• Analyze and study the existing systems to help the team with clarifications.
• Coach the team about agile scrum to deliver successful deliverables and manage the scrum process with the coordination of scrum team.
• Coordinate with defects team on continuous integration and smoke test defects on staging and production servers.
• Support QA team with testing till code is deployed to staging/UAT servers.
• Track the defects in HP Quality Center tools and help the team with any dependencies.
• Knowledge of agile methodology and frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, XP, etc.

Stakeholder management and Offshore coordination

• Review of Test cases with the client team and coordinate for a sign-off.
• Coach the product owner and stake holders on business and application requirements and lower priority features added back into the product backlog, until the workload for the sprint is enough to obtain the team's commitment.
• Brainstorm the requirements with development and testing teams at on site and offshore to make sure they understand the scope.
• Coordinate with Offshore team on handing off the work to onsite on time.
• Discuss the functional requirements and operations (calculations, technical details, data manipulation and processing etc.) with team members and seek any clarifications with stake holders.
• Resolve any conflicts within the team members or outside depending teams and facilitate conversation by focusing on scrum values of openness, honesty and respect.

Track and monitor the User Stories, status using Agile tracking tools (Rally, JIRA) and report to the leadership

• Ensure the Epics, Features, User stories and tasks are created in understandable format and visible to the leadership.
• Ensure the high priority features are brought into the sprint backlog and the target story points match with the planned velocity.
• Ensure the time boxed user stories are created before the planning meeting that will provide the exact remaining points to plan for the sprint.
• Plan the capacity after tracking teams vacation and holidays and monitor against the work load through out the sprint.
• Apply the principles, tools and techniques to plan, develop and execute to ensure successful completion of the project on time, within budget.
• Integrate the sprint tracking tools with ServiceNow, HP ALM and versioning tools to help team with minimal operation.

Identify dependencies, delivery risks, velocity variance, road blocks, counter metrics

• Identify the dependencies in the sprint planning meeting and follow up with the depending team and reach out to the leadership for possible issues.
• Identify the risks involved and monitor from the start day of the sprint.
• Monitor the team velocity variations and report to the leadership.
• Coordinate with the performance team for any performance test issues, request the team to create appropriate indexes for the relevant columns of the tables in database, identify under performing database queries and rewrite.
• Monitor and coach the development team on unit testing of DataStage Jobs for extraction, transformation and loading of client data.
• Code deployment to Development, QA and Production environments through versioning tools like TFS, Github and Jenkins.
• Know about the value of metrics and incremental delivery to be used to track process improvement.
• Work with 3rd party software parties to integrate with Corporate systems.

Minimum requirement for performance of these duties is a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a closely related field.
